Sports is a competitive field of discipline that requires not only agility but a determination to win. To win a game does require strength, skill, speed, endurance, and stamina. I’m glad that region eleven won a lot of golds, silver and bronze and qualified for the next level the Olympic games.

Every year my father will join and participate Palarong Pambansa not as a player but one of the officials on the said event. The pictures below happened last April 22-28, 2007 when Koronadal City, Philippines hosted the Palarong Pambansa 2007. The local government has allotted P 36.5 million for the said event. Almost 7,800 delegates coming from the different regions all over the country witness the opening salvo of the 2007 Palarong Pambansa at the South Cotabato Sports Complex. The unveiling of 2007 Palarong Pambansa will immediately follow after the parade at the South Cotabato Complex. DepEd Secretary Jesli A. Lapus will hoist the Palaro banner together with Hon. Fernando Q. Miguel, City Mayor of Koronadal and Regional Director Luz S. Almeda, Ph,D, DepEd XII. Ma. Rosa C. Gutierrez, CESO VI, SDS, and Hon. Edwin G. Abris, City Councilor, Koronadal City are in charge of the city banner. On the other hand, the Regional Directors and Regional PESS Chiefs are going to raise the delegation banners.

Her Excellency President Gloria Macapagal- Arroyo is going to deliver her keynote speech and release the Friendship Doves and Balloons with Hon. Daisy Avance-Fuentes, Governor of South Cotabato, Hon. Fernando Q. Miquel, Mayor of Kor. and DepEd Sec. Jesli Lapus, who will officially declare the opening of the Palaro.
