I felt bored yesterday and I don’t like to write an article. It’s like I want to rest but I couldn’t sleep. I tried myself to nap but I can’t. That’s why I decided to look for Filipino movies. We have many old Filipino DVD movies on the shelves. I got one and I know I already watched this movie before. It’s Sharon Cuneta’s movie entitled caregiver. I like this especially when Sharon says “I care about my job, sir. I care about you”. She is Sarah Gonzales in a movie. I’m so touched and cried while watching the movie.
To those who failed to watch the movie, try to watch it’s a beautiful story. Sarah Gonzales played by a famous mega star (Sharon Cuneta), a grade school English teacher in the movie, joins the 150, 000 Filipino OFW’s working in the United Kingdom to support her husband, Teddy Gonzales played by (Jhon Estrada), in making a better living for their family. More than just a chronicle of the Filipinos’ experience working as nurses and caregivers in the UK. This story charts Sarah’s journey to self -discovery from a submissive wife who makes sacrifices for her husband’s aspirations to an empowered woman who finds dignity and pride in a humbling job as a caregiver in London. I hope that you too can watch this movie entitled Caregiver played my mega star Sharon Cuneta.

It was last year when my father and I spent summer vacation at Bohol, Philippines. Philippine tarsier is one of the smallest animals also known as primates. During the day they sleep in the dark hollows close to the ground near the trunk of the trees and very active to look for food at night. They are carnivorous and love to eat live insects such as cockroaches, grasshoppers, spiders, crickets and occasionally with reptiles, birds and bats. They also eat live shrimp and fish in a bowl of water. In the Philippines you can found them in the islands of Samar, Leyte, Bohol and some part in Mindanao.
The Philippine tarsier is almost Bohol’s trademark. Tarsier has thick and silky fur and mostly the color gray to dark brown. They have thin and nearly naked tail except for the tuft of hair at the end which is twice the body length. They have elongated ‘‘tarsus’’ or ankle bone which gives the tarsier its name that allows them to jump at least three meters from the tree to another tree without touching the ground. Mostly males are larger than females. They have unique and huge eyes which are listed in the Guinness Book of Records as the largest eyes on any mammal. They also have a sharp teeth and sharp claws.
Philippine tarsiers are arboreal. Usually they live in and around the base of the tree trunks and the roots of plants such as bamboo. Sometimes they can be found in the holes at the top of trees. The Philippine tarsier is nocturnal and they hunt at night exclusively for animals prey. During the day they hide in hollows close to the ground. The female will be the one who take care of the young not the male.

Time moves so fast. It’s already 9 in the evening and I’m still blogging. I forgot to eat my foods and I’m so hungry. Well, I need to eat first so that I can get energy for the next post. Sometimes our mind will not work if we are hungry and tired. I need to put some foods in my stomach first before I proceed. I need to relax a bit also after eating. Maybe about one hour and go back to blog again. I can concentrate more if I am comfortable and relax. How about you there? I hope all of you are happy while blogging. Just here and God bless to everyone.

It’s my sister who cooked this chicken tinola. Its fatty foods and I don’t like it. I don’t want fatty foods it’s not good to me. I just asked her if I could take picture of it. I said I will put it in my blog. She said yes it’s okay so I captured the food. We called this tinola in our dialect. A chicken with vegetables looks so yummy only it’s fatty she did not get off the skin. It’s fine that’s her favorite foods with rice.

During spring time tulip is one of my favorite flowers. I feel happy if I have many tulips in my garden. Mostly during spring time I spent days at the Riverside Park together with my friends. I will stay there usually Sunday afternoon after our church service. We brought foods with us like fried chicken, potatoes, corn, chips, fruits and vegetables. This picture was taken last spring time and I’m happy to post over here. I hope that winter will be soon gone and I’m happy to welcome the spring season.
